I have never left a Google review before, but had such a fantastic service from Edinburgh Carpet Warehouse that I wanted to show my appreciation! We first used Edinburgh Carpet Warehouse to fit bedroom carpets in our newly purchased home. John Binnie in the East London Street store, went above and beyond to help us decide which carpet and underlay would be best for our needs as we were waiting for our sale to go through. He and Ashley (in charge of the booking diary) then ensured the fitters were able to install the carpets the morning we got the keys, so we could then move our furniture in later that day, with the new carpets already fitted. This went off without a hitch, with the highly skilled and professional Stephen Harte even going the extra mile and expertly cutting doors where necessary, so they would close over the thicker new carpets - which looked great! Almost a year later, we got back in touch to have laminate fitted in the hall, the bathroom floor replaced and the living room carpeted. John Binnie in store remembered us and gave first-class service in the sales room once again - relaxed, not pushy, friendly and helpful (despite us not having a big budget!). The floors were fitted expertly once more, with Ryan Brockie, a joiner, doing the laminate, and Stephen Harte and his lovely apprentice, Lewis, fitting the other floors. We did have some hiccups in our job along the way, when the old flooring was lifted it revealed issues with the sub floor that needed levelling, but this was handled fantastically by the company, nothing was too much trouble. Ashley in the office was pleasant, understanding and professional throughout, helping us get to the bottom of any minor issues that arose and having them sorted swiftly; we were made to feel valued and listened to as customers, even when things weren't going totally smoothly, which I think is a real testament to great customer service. The end result is that we have a home which looks totally transformed for the better. The finished work of Stephen, Lewis and Ryan was flawless, with them all going the extra mile with the final details, completing the work with finesse. I work in the creative industries and know that I often notice the small details in a project that others don't (for better and worse!), so it really meant a lot to me that both fitters were careful, precise and expert in their work. They were also really nice guys, who made us feel comfortable having them in our home. Thank you so much to the whole team, I would recommend the company in a heartbeat, nothing was too much trouble and we have had so many compliments on the new floors!

We needed new carpet installed quickly, and Edinburgh Carpet Warehouse delivered - installation within 48 hours, which was truly amazing. Simon was a huge help throughout, very knowledgeable and genuinely keen to find the right solution for us. The process was extremely straightforward and stress-free thanks to him. The fitters were also very friendly and did a great job. I’d happily recommend Simon and the team for anyone looking for fast, reliable, high-quality service.

Needed some Vinyl flooring for my bathroom and kitchen. The original place we went to quoted us an obscene amount of money to do two smallish spaces. We then checked out this shop. The staff in the shop were friendly and helpful from the start. We had measured, but they kindly sent someone out to measure as well. We were going to originally go for off cuts. but after some advice in the shop, went with a new roll of vinyl. We were picking the same flooring for the kitchen and bathroom. Reasonable price for both rooms to be done, and the two guys who came to fit the flooring on the day, were friendly and did a great job of fitting the flooring. Thank you

Paid nearly £5,000 for carpets from Edinburgh Carpet Warehouse. Within months they were bobbling and showing visible wear, even in low-traffic rooms. Raised a complaint but was fobbed off – told to trim the carpet with scissors(!). An “independent” inspector (appointed by the manufacturer) conveniently found no fault, so the company washed their hands of it. Poor quality product, worse customer service. Avoid.

I’ve used this company before on a previous flat when they had a shop in Dunfermline. Used again for a different flat but this time with the Edinburgh branch. Everything went fairly smoothly until the time came to install laminate floorings and carpets. Carpets and fitter were good and I’m happy with this service. The fitting of our laminate flooring was a disgrace. The finishing was extremely poor, uneven transitions from room to room, left no trip around the corners. Complained to the company and they did agree with this. They sent out a different fitter who fixed half of the problems. Then they sent out the original fitter again who only fixed a small part of the problems. He moaned that he hadn’t been paid the full amount but the company told us not to pay him fully because of the condition our floors had been left. Cowboy fitter and a head office who don’t seem to care about after care. Floors still aren’t in the condition you’d expect but I’ve been told nothing else can be done.
