Visited few weeks before, a gentleman at front table gave me quote according to my measurements , answered every question spot on, i arranged money went back to order , another guy at the same table, not welcoming face at all, not interested to answer questions, insisted that he needed to send someone for measurement after a week , then fitting again after another week, every one in shop having hard looks on their faces towards me, i got up went to different branch in east london st, they were even worse , not bothered at all about customer, in short I went to different bigger chain shop, ordered carpet, would be fitted in week. My advice ! Make the guy your Manager whom I met first time and let him train everyone in store . Dont underestimate your customers and dont give them hard looks, thanks

Had such a strange experience at this store. The first time I went in alone and none of the shop assistants bothered to speak to me. The second time I went in with my partner, the first employee who spoke to us was a little short/unhelpful but fine. He answered my questions but made no suggestions and didn’t ask me anything about the project. We browsed a bit and my partner later went to the desk to ask whether it was possible to take home some samples - was fully prepared to pay or give a deposit for this - and was told it was possible with a deposit. Later another employee came to ask if he could help with anything, he was more helpful explaining some things and asking questions, and we decided to take some samples home (under deposit). As we were on our way out of the store the other employee said “oh so you got your FREE samples then did you” in a snide way, implying we were trying to get freebies? Not sure why anyone would want a free sample of a floor unless they were planning to buy a floor though lol. My partner went to return the samples the next day and spoke to the employee at the desk, who said “who did you arrange this with”, my partner pointed out who it was and the employee said “well it will be him you want to speak to then won’t it”, again in a weird snippy way. I’m sure he could have taken the samples off his hands and returned the deposit, and saved my partner some time instead of having to wait for the other guy to be done talking to customers? Just seems lazy. Just the whole attitude was really strange and made me not want to buy my floor here lol. Not sure if it is because we look young for our age (I am 30 but still often get asked for ID) and my partner was wearing a hoodie and that’s why they assumed we were not serious customers? It was honestly bizarre. The second employee we spoke to was helpful but he was let down by the overall lack of customer service at the store. They have plenty of selection in person and I can’t comment on the purchase/installation service, which judging from other reviews seems good.

Paid nearly £5,000 for carpets from Edinburgh Carpet Warehouse. Within months they were bobbling and showing visible wear, even in low-traffic rooms. Raised a complaint but was fobbed off – told to trim the carpet with scissors(!). An “independent” inspector (appointed by the manufacturer) conveniently found no fault, so the company washed their hands of it. Poor quality product, worse customer service. Avoid.

Top class service received from the Colin and the team at the Salamander branch. Our new Quickstep laminate floor (Capture Natural Varnished Oak) was expertly installed by Stevie and Jamie (can’t rate them highly enough). Any surplus (unopened) material was swiftly refunded. Great experience overall and I would highly recommend their services.

Excellent, Ordered flooring and carpet a few weeks ago from them both carpet and Engineered wood flooring, They called the day before to say there had been a stock issue, I must admit this point I was thinking it's not going to get fitted, Mark explained that as they could not get what we had ordered they would have to upgrade the product. I have to admit at this point I am thinking ok how much is the cost of the job going to increase. I asked Mark and he said there was no cost increase, The joiner turns up today with what can only be described as perfection a fantastic replacement that looks stunning, Today the joiner Tim worked his socks off fitting the flooring was so polite and offered excellent advice about what way to run the floor and how to get the best level of finish. There was a slight issue with the carpet fitter in that I think there had been a mix up with the booking, However Tim and the staff at carpet and flooring warehouse sorted it, By 8pm tonight we had the carpet fitted the fitters where excellent. The service has been 1st class and considering I nearly gave my business to another company this has been John Lewis Levels of service. The company excels at service and making sure its customers are happy a fantastic team and delightful service,
